Purchase Flight Time credits online for your student account and then Lesson Booking Times can be scheduled at either Devonport or Wynyard.
Lessons range from a half hour to several hours - depending on the sequence being flown and the stage of advancement through the syllabus.
A minimum of 20 hours is required to sit for a flight test and you can organise a full time course with us if your budget permits. You can also chip away at the requirements with individual lessons spaced suitably apart.
Achieving Your Goal
In our experience most students require a little more than 20 hours to achieve the required licence standard. It's all about being a safe and competent pilot. Obtaining your wings with us is a not only a symbol of achievement, it's a reminder to be safe and to always strive to learn more and be the best you can be!
I started learning to fly with Pete and Gill when I was 16. Within 2 months I had flown solo and within 9 months I had my Pilot Certificate. I’m now 19 and a Pilot in the Air Force. Learning to fly with Pete and Gill fueled my interest for aviation, not to mention being extremely fun! Pete teaches raw ‘stick and rudder’ flying which gives you fundamental skills for any aircraft you may fly. Gill was the friendly face on the ground who made all the paperwork a breeze. Your Lessons with us are more than just Flight Time
A single hour in the aircraft involves several hours of contact time - incorporating Pre-Flight and Theory Briefings, Post Flight De-Briefings and Aircraft Inspections.
For example - we allocate a two (2) hour booking space for a lesson sequence that requires a one hour flight. You ONLY PAY FOR ENGINE TIME - everything else is included FREE.
