My passion is flying and teaching people how to fly. I aim to produce skilled 'stick and rudder' pilots with the primary focus on risk management and safety.
I have been flying for over 49 years and teaching for over 45 years. I was part of the original group that founded the AUF (Australian Ultralight Federation), which has evolved into Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus) today. My licence number is a very early 048 of some 15,000+ members.
Over the years many of my students have gone on to become commercial pilots, joined the Air Force and most importantly have continued on to enjoy sport flying and safely experiencing the world from above
I have around 11000 flying hours - the majority of which is instructional time in a wide variety of aircraft types. I have float experience, significant tailwheel time and I have won State and National Flying Competitions. I was the original National Two (2) Seat AUF Champion.
I am a Pilot Examiner and an Authorised Level 2 Maintenance Authority. I personally maintain all our aircraft and issue licences and renewals. I look forward to helping you in any way I can.
